16 Charlotte Jamison 1856-1937 appears to have been the daughter of a Nancy Jamison, confirmed by Charlotte's Michigan marriage record.
It appears that Charlotte was born out of wedlock. Nancy married James Kinney/Kierney in 1864. He was a widower. She was a spinster. The marriage took place in Ballycastle, County Antrim. This is the only Jam?son / Kinney marriage found. Althugh the transcript says "Kierney" It is more likely Kinney to.Nancy's father was listed as John Jamison.
Charlotte used the surname Jamison when she emigrated to the States in 1872. She was 15 years old which confirms a birthdate of 1856/7. She was accompanied by a 25 year old John Kinney. Stepbrother, perhaps?
Charlotte first married John Henry Boreland who died in 1887. She then married Oliver Church, using Kinney as her maiden name, but giving Nancy Jamison as her mother and James Kinney as her father.
She died in 1937 in Ventura, CA and is on F.A.G. with her children.

21 Fanny appears to be listed as "Fanny Jameson" and her father as "Grey Jameson" on their 1845 marriage record Family: Alexander Jameson / Fanny Jameson (F1)

22 Fanny's surname is a mystery. The only record we have of that is the 1845 marriage record, which appears to list her as "Fanny Jamison" and her father as George Jamison. However, several more recent "Ancestry" Genealogies have her as a "Gurshee" or a "Hurshee." None of these "genealogies" are explained or documented, as to that. It should however be noted, that the name "Gaushe" appears as the middle name for their daughter Charlotte, as her middle name, on her 1870 Massachussetts death record. Jameson, Fanny (I2)

49 The death record, filed some 90 years on, was done so by an official apparently based on the information given by an "Occupier" at the "Workhouse" where the elderly Hugh Jameson died.

It is thought the information recorded at the death of this Hugh Jamison, as to the age at the time of death, to be more likely a guess and therefore incorrect, than the accurate dates and places of the events themselves.
Jamieson, Hugh (I5)

50 The issue of immigration for this John Jamison, is conjecture with facts, most appropriate to the issue, applied where found.

There is an alternative possibility, based on some atDNA testing, this suggests this John Jamison may be a different John Jamison, with similar vitals, found in Newtownards, Ireland, married to an Agnes Warren. That information is here
Jamison, John (I3)
