Notes

Peter came to Canada in 1911, on a trip out from Aberdeen, Scotland, and purchased Rodono Farm in central Alberta, about three miles west of the town of Alix, from a South American mink ranch owner. He then returned to Scotland in 1912, eventually immigrating permanently to Canada in 1922. There is a family story that goes, that on the return trip to Scotland in 1912, the ship that they were on wired the Titanic to tell them about the iceberg danger. They were not able to get an answer from the Titanic. Peter was in the communications room trying to send a wire home at this time. Peter learned of the Titanic sinking, only when they arrived back on land.
